Tamara often has her fingers in a few pies. Before jumping continents, she was workings as a journalist at Off The Leash, co-director of the Darwin Fringe Festival and story producer for the Northern Territory based storytelling event Spun

On the shameless self-promotion side of things, Tamara has a swag of NT Media awards under her belt. In 2020 Tamara and her freelancing colleague Kylie Stevenson won awards for Best Feature Writing and Indigenous Affairs Reporting for a series investigating the NDIS in Northern Australia. The pair beat out more than 100 applicants to secure a prestigious Walkley Foundation Grant for Freelance Journalists to fund this series. You can read the stories here. She also helped Off The Leash come out victorious at the 2019 NT Media Awards for Best Magazine or Lift out, and also won a 2017 NT Media Award for Best Online Coverage with features commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin.

She is currently undertaking a Masters of Business in Arts and Cultural Management at Deakin University.

Tamara is passionate about people from all walks of life around the globe and their stories, particularly the weird and interesting characters on the fringes of society. Feel free to drop her a line to say hello or share a story.
